Data Analyst (Global Operations)

The largest name in smartphone app-based transportation, head-quartered in San Francisco, that is revolutionizing the way people travel on a global scale, is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team for a 6 month contract with the opportunity to extend to full-time. Salary: Up to $30/hr DOE (2-5 years years of experience required).

Serve as a telecom analyst for the Global Mobile Ops team as a subject matter expert in telecom billing, reporting, audit, dashboard creating and carrier management. The role will support the further development of global carrier invoicing and reporting standards, the audit and compliance program, and manage multiple internal and external relationships.

• Manage global telecom schedule for audits, compliance reviews, and corrective actions.
• Data mining of multiple audit and compliance findings to generate standardized corrective actions.
• Assist in the management of select global telecom audit processes and creation of corresponding audit templates.
• Drafting and revision of global telecom carrier auditing processes and standards documentation.
• Represent Mobile Ops team in meetings with internal and external partners.
• Create snapshots of detailed information to capture top carriers globally and showcase variances in reporting

General Description:
1. The purpose of the position is to ensure vendors are getting paid on time. Must coordinate with both internal (city teams) and external (vendors) clientele. Have to juggle many hats: Coordinate carriers, talk to Accounts Payable, review with city teams and manage operations on a Global Scale.

2. Second half of this position is data analysis. Understanding carrier reports and comparing this to trip history for drivers (using V-Look Ups). Take the carrier report and do v-look up analysis with driver history reports to determine driver lines that are duplicates. Then decide which lines to termintate. Must have experience with excel.

3. Need have attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders. Conversations with carriers and city teams will vary from each city. Need to recognize different city needs and be able to forecast.

4. Must know excel, formulas, ability to analyze city data, forecasting and SQL potential (can learn this). Also telecom experience is preferred but not necessary.

5. Mobile/Telecom experience preferred. Tech experience preferred.

6. Must have both the ability to collaborate and analyze data. Working with GLOBAL vendors and multiple stakeholders: city teams & carriers, and coordinating meetings with them.

Other duties:
Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
Tests customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data; reviewing output.
Secures information by completing data base backups.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
