The Data Analyst will be required to access and compile large amounts of data, analyze the data, interpret and quantify trends on the operational aspects of various Retention programs. The role will also need to effectively communicate concise findings and recommendations to Retention program managers and senior executives. The Analyst will work on creating and/or enhancing various analytical tools that will help improve the operational results and may also be required to develop requirements and perform testing on these analytical tools.
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing data analyses for Retention Marketing
Create accurate and timely analyses on a wide variety of areas including marketing offer operational performance, trend analysis, campaign performance and subscriber behavior and responses to marketing offers.
Additional responsibilities may include offer forecasting and assist Retention program managers in developing and maintaining operational dashboards.
Develop new analytical tools and enhance existing ones where needed.
Provide insight into and develop new ideas and approaches to improve operational results.
Partner with cross functional teams such as Finance, Strategy, Business Analytics and Customer Care to understand enterprise trends, competitive environment and their impacts on subscriber behavior and provide conclusions and recommendations to business owners.
Consolidate information and present to program managers and senior management in a clear and concise manner.
BS/BA in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related quantitative field required
Prefer candidates with degree in quantitative analysis, mathematics, economics or finance with prior experience in consumer services and products
Prefer candidates with educational background or working experience with statistics 3-5 years experience
Highly analytical and creative thinker
Must be self-directed, organized and detail oriented as well as have the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills including an ability to communicate and work effectively with business managers and diverse cross-functional groups
Ability to accommodate change and adapt accordingly
Highly skilled in Excel, Access, SAS and SQL
Prefer candidates with experience in Teradata and Cognos
Experience in summarizing data and building presentations using Powerpoint
Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
Have participated or led data analysis in highly complex business problems
Have developed executive level presentations that identify business trends, operational successes and opportunities based on transactional data
