Data Analyst

A top-notch ad agency in SF is looking for a process-driven Data Analyst to oversee the preparation of all digital sources where data can be collected. This role will start as soon as the right candidate is identified and will convert to full-time in 90 days. The successful candidate will have an affinity for cloud-based tools and feel comfortable using the tools to achieve campaign goals.

Responsibilities include:

- Identifying data sources (websites, banner ads, mobile, emails, etc)
- Identifying data reporting tools including ad-servers, web analytics, rich media, etc. Tools may include Google Analytics, WebTrends, Omniture, Site CataLyst, AdWords, DoubleClick, Atlas, AdCenter, PointRoll, and others.
- Identifying tagging formats that each tool requires in order to collect data in a meaningful way when the campaign starts running. This may include creating appropriate tag formats, ensuring tag formats are implemented by appropriate parties (IT, developers, media partners and others), implementing them in DoubleClick or AdCenter, setting up campaigns within certain tools to conform to campaign objects (paid search set-up)
- Testing tags that have been implemented, to ensure proper data is being generated and collected and will be available to track performance when campaigns launch
- Generating reports for clients that may require integrating data across multiple tools and platforms
- Generating reports for internal users such as accounting or media who may need information about impressions, incurred costs, and billing-related questions

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years experience in an agency environment, managing the deployment of campaign tracking and measurement technologies
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience with one or more digital tools including DART / AdSwerve (DoubleClick), AdCenter (Microsoft), AdWords (Google), WebTrends, Omniture (SiteCatalyst), Google Analytics, Majestic, SEOMoz, Site Manager (Google)
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel
- Must have the ability to manipulate data (to create extracts, appends or other data operations)
