Are you an experienced Data Analyst who enjoys performing experimental design approaches to validate findings or test hypotheses?
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of data collection (from a number of data points) and data cleaning, drive analysis and develop actionable insights for decision makers to improve policy development and service design. As a key part of this innovative project team you will assist in the creation of reporting dashboards for the Victorian Government services. For example the Victorian Government online consultation platform Engage Victoria (www.engage.vic.gov.au).
This exciting project is underway to transform the DPC’s suite of digital services by migrating to a unified Drupal 8 platform. This project will vastly improve web presence; providing easier access to government information on a reimagined Victorian Government website.
Collaborating with the Digital Insights Analyst you will employ the appropriate algorithm to discover patterns, design experiments, test hypotheses, and build models.
The technical landscape is diverse and proven expertise across Microsoft Power BI Power Query including SQL and/or M languages is essential, alongside Microsoft Power BI Dashboard configuration including DAX language and visualisation techniques. An ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of qualitative analysis tools to analyse semi-structured survey responses and large segments of unstructured text will be pivotal. As a critical thinker you will assist interpretation of numbers, trends and data into dashboards or visual documents to communicate your findings to a variety of stakeholder groups.
To be successful you will be someone who naturally considers the bigger picture while defining the details, and thrives when making sense of large volumes of complex information quickly.
Apply now if you want to play a key part in a dynamic team delivering the DPC digital strategy and working to shape government web services for the benefit of all Victorians.
