Data & Marketing Analyst
We are seeking an experienced Data & Marketing Analyst on a medium term contract for one of our large financial services clients.
You will partner with multiple marketing colleagues to drive improved channel performance and customer journey. You will play a crucial role in providing critical data and insights to drive marketing strategies and activities and you must possess a combination of strong business acumen with solid technical, problem solving and communication skills.
We envisage the candidate having a minimum of 4 years’ experience, preferably but not necessarily within the financial services sector. More importantly you must have proven experience dealing with multiple stakeholders within a large organisation.
Working within a newly created department on an exciting project you should have a good balance of skills within analytics and marketing. We are looking for someone who can take technical information and turn it into relevant insights while partnering with key stakeholders and actively seeking out feedback. The successful candidate will have a passion for data, and the ability to transform data into a compelling story.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Monitoring business performance and identifying areas of strength or opportunity
Analyse and recommend market tests for a variety of marketing channels, including email marketing, paid search, print, and more
Build, maintain, improve, and evangelise reporting necessary for daily business operations
Identify patterns in customer purchase behaviour to drive changes in marketing strategy
Help to ensure decisions made are made using quantitative information and facts
Desired Skills and Experience
3 to 5 years’ experience working in a data intensive role
SQL or SAS expertise, including recent experience
Degree or Masters in a quantitative field
Exceptional communication skills
Demonstrated ability to mine raw data, identify relevant data points, and transform into a compelling story
Statistics knowledge, with experience building regression models and segmentations
The ability and desire to learn new tools and techniques
Experience with analytics data visualization software such as Tableau, R, or Google Analytics preferred
