3D Retail Designer

Our client is looking to add an awesome designer to their 3D retail team! The candidate will be a client-facing; outgoing and energetic individual well versed in hand drawing of retail spaces, image/inspiration research and compilation, as well as material sourcing and sampling.

Summary
The designer will share 3d design; space planning and general retail layout chops with an innate sense of graphic communication sensitivity. The candidate will be versed working with other design entities to translate initial concept designs into production level files. The designer is a pro at team interaction; is able to organize his or her day/week with a sense of self managed autonomy. The candidate will be well suited to "fill in gaps" missing from client direction; and confident to act on behalf of the team as well as clients and brand. Google Sketchup or related 3d software efficiency a plus.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Visual communication deliverables (conceptual development).
2. Departmental critique and review (consultation with managers).
3. Project management and team communication.
4. Research (internal and client based).
5. Approvals (engineering consultation; color/printing approvals; drafting consultation; purchasing consultation).
6. Administrative (archiving; email; timesheet reporting; scheduling)
7. All other duties as required.

* It is a minimum requirement that designer have a general understanding of print materials and processes related to plastics, wood, paper, and related printing effects.
* It is a minimum requirement that the designer have a basic understanding of print ready artwork preparation; bleeds; gripper and related color and image operations.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills
Software expertise with Adobe Photoshop; Illustrator and, and general understanding of page layout software such as InDesign. General understanding of 3d software, such as Sketchup.
