3D Asset Implementer

A renowned game studio currently working on AAA console title is looking for 3D Asset Implementer to join our team integrating 3D game assets. The 3D Asset Implementer will be part of the Environment Art team and work closely with level artists, designers, producers and tech artists. Responsibilities include taking pre-built 3D assets and implementing them into the game. This may include: checking that assets are built to spec, fixing minor issues with the assets (mesh, material, texture, and/or collision tweaks), reporting on the status of an asset as well as working with the team/Leads on ensuring the asset looks/works properly. The 3D Asset Implementer will also be responsible for using source control to update iterations to the latest build. Experience with Maya or equivalent 3d program is a must. This is a great opportunity for junior artists to gain valuable AAA game development experience!

Qualifications:
• Two years professional experience working with game environments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design or Architecture preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Maya required.
• Experience with other DCC applications (3DS Max, XSI) will be considered.
• Experience with Photoshop, or similar 2D art packages required.
• Artist must have strong knowledge of modern game asset development principles and techniques.
• Thorough understanding of the economy of building assets for real time environments required.
• Artist should have strong time management and communication skills.
• The ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts required.
