3D Artist

Looking for a talented 3D animator to create in-game animations for a new game. Must have a feel for stylized animation that is grounded in reality. Collaboration and strong communication skills are a vital asset, as the animator will work closely with game designers and fellow artists to bring the project to life. Artist must adapt well to change and be flexible. The project will include a wide variety of characters/creatures so experience beyond bipedal humans is a must.

MUST HAVE
* 3+ Years experience in the game industry.
* Highly experienced 3D character animator with a passion for game development. Can produce high quality animation assets on time and within technical limitations.
* Must display passion for animating stylized subject matter that is grounded in reality.
* Must have strong communication skills - experience working closely with game designers, programmers, and technical artists is an absolute must.
* Must be flexible and adapt easily to change. Able to respond effectively to difficult creative changes, due to technical or aesthetic demands.
* Self-Motivated towards solving creative problems.
* Experience implementing game animations into a game engine and navigating a game pipeline.
* Must demonstrate a strong understanding of foundational animation principles and mechanics - both for bipedal humanoid characters and non-bipedal creatures.

BONUS
* Strong understanding of Maya.
* 2D skills are a plus. Ability to communicate with other artists visually using quick thumbnail sketches/paintings is a valuable asset.
* Experience using Havok.
* Rigging and Mesh skinning/vertex weighting experience on next gen characters is a plus.
