Customer Marketing Manager (Maternity cover)

Rate: £45-55k depending on experience

Summary:
The Customer Marketing department are charged with creating and implementing best in class, customer facing activities that maximise the value of company content at point of purchase. The team work closely with both sales and marketing to create bespoke retail solutions for Games, Film, catalogue and consumer products. Working cross category and with a strong retail interface this is an exciting and pivotal role in the ensuring a strong retail presence.

This role will require a strong gaming background/proven success in the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Develop and plan customer (trade) specific UK and Ireland strategies that mirror retailer goals and objectives, utilising all aspects of the sales and marketing mix.
- Working closely with Sales and Marketing to deliver bespoke plans/presentations to support retail goals plus Specific Account responsibility.
- Liaise closely with and become the conduit between sales and marketing to ensure key organisational objectives are met including positioning, key selling points, promotional/merchandising objective.
- Work with Marketing, Creative Services, eXPD8 and Sales to manage budget allocation across all title releases to ensure optimum trade and consumer marketing funding and campaigns
- Create, implement and execute specific retailer promotion / events
- Demonstrate strong relationship building and project management skills with relevant counterparts to drive the timely delivery of pre-order and release assets/ targets both internally and with external partners and manage the process from pre order to launch
- Demonstrate an in–depth understanding of the in-store / online environment and specific retailer trading strategies for key account responsibilities. Offer insights and suggestions that add value to the consumer proposition.
- Be the expert on retailer out of category opportunities and rate cards. Monitor and report customer compliance, competitor initiatives and market / customer trends
- In conjunction with the Account Managers build, manage and deliver a robust merchandising plan of activity to support the new releases and catalogue activity across retailers.
- Spend time in store to enhance understanding of logistics and operations, from back door to shop floor. Ensure smooth implementation, build key relationships and assess effectiveness of implementation and compliance.
- Develop a partner relationship network that identifies key decision makers and makes the company the preferred partner for retailer and promotional initiatives.
- Play a high profile role in business planning meetings

Relevant Previous Work Experience:
- Extensive experience in a senior marketing or commercial role
- Proven success within the retail environment
- High level of home entertainment / games product and industry knowledge
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well within a broad team
