Customer Marketing, Hedge Funds & Asset Manager

One of our Fortune 500 Financial Services clients is looking to add a Customer Marketing, Hedge Funds & Asset Manager to their team for at least an 8-month contract (this position can extend based on culture fit and business needs). This position is based in New York and may have some travel for events and possibly to Chicago but no international travel.

Background:
The Marketing Specialist position is part of the Customer Marketing Team where the primary goal is to support the Global Director of Marketing for Hedge Funds and Asset Managers. This is a great opportunity to grow your career within Financial services on the buyer side.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Support with the development, execution and evaluation of targeted marketing campaigns and events, targeting Hedge Funds and Asset Managers globally
• Analysis, interpretation, presentation of data using Excel and PowerPoint
• Maintenance of client data using Excel, SFDC and 3rd party databases
• Sourcing and evaluating relevant marketing events including conferences, maintenance of the events calendars

Experience:
• Must have 2-4 years of relevant marketing experience in financial services.
• Some experience or understanding of hedge fund and asset manager customers and derivative products is highly preferred.
• Understanding of top Financial publishers, target markets and events landscape for hedge funds and asset managers since you will help analyze the best events and areas of focus for marketing campaigns.

Required Skills:
• Client focus; highly responsive with a laser sharp focus and on delivering on-time in-full for internal and ultimately external clients.
• Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to produce high quality output that is error free and right first time.
• Pace and volume; comfort with completing a high volume of work with short turn-around time.
• Top levels excel skills; cleaning, managing, analyzing data must be second nature. Must have a high degree of comfort with vlookups and pivot tables on a daily basis.
• Relationships; at ease with building positive and professional internal relationships.
• Highly articulate; world class written and verbal communications skills.
• Flexible and adaptability; must have a can-do attitude towards colleagues, clients, and tasks.
• Salesforce; have experience as a heavy user of SFDC
• Organized and systematic; must approach all aspects of work in a highly organized and systematic way.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (marketing or communications preferred) required. Graduate degree is preferred.
