Our client is seeking a Customer Marketing Analyst for a short term contract. The overall objective of the Customer Marketing Analyst position is to execute and analyze the promotional programs and customized items at retail providing analytical support and recommendations to the account marketing and sales team.

To be successful in the role you will:

• Ensure an accurate and up to date customer Promotion Tracker Tool
• Complete all formal account analyses and reporting projects and in a timely manner
• Innovate new ways to streamline analysis and reporting of key retailer sales data
• Use in-depth analysis of baseline sales, promotions, seasons and key retail initiatives and make recommendations for more successful promotions in the future

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Management of the account promotional tracker tool, including data input, maintenance and post promotional analysis
• Management of the merchandising ROI tool, including data input, maintenance and post analysis
• Pull POS data from account POS site and puts all programs into the ROI tool as well as other tools for analysis (catalog spreadsheet, side by sides, MDF sheet). Aggregates results to draw broader conclusions and shares results with internal teams. As needed, performs other analytics such as trade spend analysis, market share reports, lift results, competitive trends, etc
• Provides Black Friday and Blitz progress reporting at intervals during the Thanksgiving sales weekend.
• Advise Customer Marketing, Sales and Marketing teams on optimal promotional choices
• Reporting out to Customer Marketing, Sales and Management on status of various promotions and seasonal initiatives

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in category management, trade or brand marketing, space planning, consumer research, sales and/or finance
• Strong quantitative analysis skills
• Strong financial knowledge/business acumen
• Strong MS Word, Power point skills required.
• Excellent MS Excel skills required
• Experience in using and managing account specific data systems preferred

• Possess a positive 'can do' attitude
• Tenacious and eager to grow personally and professionally
• Ability to find creative solutions to problems as they arise

• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
