Creative Strategist

Assignment Description: PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for gathering insights, funneling trends and listening to guests to further implement strategies set by the lead creative strategist. Works with the lead creative strategist to transform marketing strategy into a creative objective, and ultimately crafting a clear set of creative strategies. Inspires creative solutions across all media types, in particular for Style categories (Home, Fashion and Beauty), to solve business challenges, opportunities and objectives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Creative Strategist will demonstrate leadership by:
Creates partnerships with Creative Managers and their teams to translate Style category objectives into creative solutions. Negotiates common agreement and understanding on scope, deliverables and objectives based on the Marketing Strategy or Project Briefs, throughout the course of an initiative. Translates and synthesizes relevant business and guest insights to bring an informed perspective to assigned projects.

The Creative Strategist will implement creative strategy by:
Being an expert in, but needs direction from the lead strategist, defining the creative problem and objective from the stated marketing challenge in the strategy brief. Writing focused creative briefs with single-minded propositions that inspire creativity at the channel, project or small scope campaign level with oversight from lead strategist. Supporting lead strategist to research and synthesize cultural insights as it relates to the monitoring of trends. Uncovering and providing unique and unexpected insights that fuel big ideas and innovation. Continuing to gain knowledge of trending brand, digital retail and shopping behavior to design and support creative strategies intended to achieve business and marketing objectives. Working with a team to transform marketing strategies into immersive experiences that help our guests connect more deeply with the brand. Partnering with teams, and guidance from the lead strategist, to make thoughtful creative presentations that explain the strategy and story of the creative works to solve a problem.

The Creative Strategist will also:
Support the creative process to ensure all efforts and outputs are grounded in the wants and needs of the guest. Develop expertise and knowledge in Style category (Home, Fashion and Beauty) marketing.
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
• Reports to Manager, Creative Strategy
• Works closely with Style Category managers/senior specialists
• Key partners include: Guest Insights, Style Category and Brand teams, Media Strategy, Social Media Strategy, Public Relations, Digital Experience, Marketing Operations, External Agency Partners
