Creative Services Manager

The Creative Services Manager oversees and manages the planning, development and production of the organization's communications. In addition, the Creative Services Manager oversees the design and fulfillment of all system wide printed collateral. As part of this process, the Creative Services Manager will be an ancillary Graphic Designer while managing an “in-house” team of designers, contract copywriter(s) and external freelance talent.

The Creative Services Manager will be required to engage in graphic design at a senior level, coordinate the research and development of a wide range of multimedia, electronic and/or printed graphic materials and campaigns and is an integral element of an operation that functions as an in-house full service creative agency. This role influences the perceived quality and value of the organization and ultimately enrollment and sales.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Initiates, coordinates and oversees the organization's communications operations to include the timely, efficient and cost effective deployment, design, development, scheduling, trafficking, buying, production and printing of more than 1200 print, multimedia and Web communications yearly including effective, competitive and creative sales and marketing collaterals.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships internally and externally to communicate departmental capabilities and support the communication efforts of all System affiliates including their regions, schools and departments and to enhance internal operations, improve quality of services and offerings and to communicate with students and the community.
• Manages and supervises design and production staff in the design and production of all projects. Maintains knowledge of the status of all projects and provides reports to the Director of Communications. Supervises daily schedule of staff.
• Assigns projects to designers, assigns and manages timelines, budget constraints and printing specifications.
• Utilizes graphic design capabilities to develop creative solutions, multimedia collateral, and web communications to support enrollment goals of System affiliates.
• Manages central Communications budget; oversees expenditures, negotiation of mutually beneficial agreements with vendors and acts to reduce or contain costs. Monitors and establishes departmental production, record keeping and reporting procedures needed for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify, bid, negotiate, track and manage vendor services and manufacturing processes including but not limited to printing, imprinting, photographic, graphic design, multimedia, web and mail. Ensure that buyouts are of high quality, and client expectations and deadlines are met.
• Estimate manufacturing costs. Recommend best quality, cost and time efficient formats and options and provide guidance and instruction to production staff and vendors.
• Manage cloud based collateral inventory and ordering system, inclusive of maintaining adequate levels of collaterals, monitoring usage and distribution channels and reporting.
• Facilitates and coordinates materials and resources for organization's photography.
