Come and work for a well renowned non-profit world’s largest scientific membership association and one of the top ten science publishers in the world. Immediate contract need for a Creative Services Manager to sit on-site in their Washington, DC office. This position will sit in the Publications Division

The Division publishes a weekly news magazine and 38 internationally respected high-quality peer-reviewed research journals that serve the broad interests of the chemical-related scientific and engineering markets.

The Creative Services Manager will report to the Director of Marketing. As a member of the marketing team, the CSM is responsible for managing outside designers and firms on a project by project basis, as well as regularly executing design on select projects and campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Oversee usage of the brand and translate into highly effective digital and print communications and events working with marketing, sales, web strategy, communications.
* Execution of design Assistance in creating identities for the program at large, as well as discipline-specific portfolios, and journal/audience-specific brands.
* Act as advisor on creative marketing services including but not limited to advertising, design, and production of branded printed collateral, electronic marketing and media, presentations, and event marketing.
* Oversee the development, design, schedule, and budget for select print marketing materials, including catalogs, brochures, postcards, ads, flyers, and letters.
* Should be expert in Illustrator, proficient in Adobe Photoshop, and familiar with InDesign and Flash. Multimedia packages, HTML coding, and flash animation experience a plus.

EDUCATION:

* B.A./B.S. degree in graphic arts, design, or visual communication, with 5+ years of related graphic or illustration experience. .
