Creative Services & Communications Coordinator
March 2016

The Creative Services & Communications Coordinator will be responsible for creating designs and coordinating publicity for all synagogue programs. He/she will work closely with staff members, synagogue officers, committee chairs, and volunteers. The Creative Services & Communications Coordinator is a member of the Administrative Staff and reports to the Director of Communications.


• Under the direction of the Director of Communications, develops original designs for use on the shul’s website, eBlast, announcements, posters, flyers, advertisements and internal communications, as needed.
• Responsible for assisting the Director of Communications with design and layout of publications including weekly Announcements, quarterly magazine, an annual booklet, Fall Festival Book, Tiny Treasures, Membership Directory, and other publications, as required.
• Photograph events for publicity purposes.

Publicity/Public Relations
• Implements overall synagogue publicity and public relations programs under supervision of the Director of Communications.
• Responsible for external publicity for events via community calendars.

• Assists the Director of Communications with projects and provides administrative assistance, as needed.
• Collects information for the weekly (printed) Announcements and eBlast.
• Ensures timely printing of the Announcements.
• Responsible for maintaining member contact database using Constant Contact.
• Responsible for preparation of semi-weekly eBlasts.
• Update PowerPoint presentation for reception area.
• Run Donation reports from MMS and edit information to make sure it is correct and consistent before submitting.
• Work with department Administrative Assistants to compile congratulations based on engagement, wedding, birth announcements, awards, charitable board appointments, etc.
• Post flyers, posters, and yard signs around town as needed.

• Responsible for creating and maintaining the website calendar and maintaining Event pages.
• Under direction of Director of Communications, updates website on a daily basis to ensure information is current.
• Manage content pages that change weekly.
• Set up ticket sales through the Event page.
• Set up back end sku numbers for accounting.
• Training other staff members on how to check registrations for their events.
