Creative Resource Manager / Marketing Events Coordinator

Our client, a globally recognized, Fortune 100, technology company, is looking for a Marketing Events Coordinator to manage and coordinate logistics for marketing events, networking events, seminars and other events.

Working in a division of commercial Marketing, the Marketing Events Coordinator will be responsible for running a bimonthly (every other month) seminar/talk series with audience members both locally present and on conference call. Additionally, this person will work as Program Manager for event communications and planning; managing end to end.

Responsibilities include:
• Manage and coordinate logistics for marketing events, networking events, seminars and other events — including planning, site selection, registration, catering, equipment rental and “day-of” event management to ensure a great event
• Work with marketing program managers to coordinate all internal logistics related to events including speaker coordination, floor plan layout, equipment needs, packing/checklist of equipment, schedule, signage, etc.
• Plan and execute activities related to the Marketing Development Program – an initiative to provide strong development opportunities for newly hired marketers
• Create event planning documents to provide comprehensive details on event participation and plan
• Develop and manage relationships with vendors and contractors to execute various elements to support events including program development, lighting and sound, signage
• Track attendance and results from events
• Manage event cost based on budget set by program managers
• Solicit feedback and provide post event summaries per event and a monthly roll up to management
• Develop and manage 6-month events calendar

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Abilities:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong organization, planning and presentation skills;
• Strong project management skills, well organized, detail-oriented. MUST have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity;
• Thorough knowledge of marketing and marketing communication strategy, tools, concepts and techniques;
• Ability to work cross functionally in order to achieve desired results;
• Ability to work with outside vendors and build good business relationships;
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with minimum 4 years exp in events management (marketing experience preferred)

ADDITIONAL INFO
• This is a 9 month, full-time, W-2 contract position located in Austin, TX
• This position is not eligible for telecommute or offsite work
• This position is eligible for full benefits including a low premium, zero-deductible health care plan, 401(k) plan,
