Creative Project Manager

KEY OBJECTIVES FOR THE TRAFFIC MANAGER ROLE

Manage resources for incoming projects by maintaining relationships with freelancers and vendors for overflow work and specific requests outside of Tailwind’s core competencies. Be proactive in managing day-to-day and process with print vendors and report on usage.
Learn capabilities of team to effectively distribute all work (comps, layouts, etc.) to appropriate team members ensuring all edits are made and approvals are met.

Make sure Creative Team knows of all final specifications for design and/or production as well as, making sure they have all necessary materials and information to complete their work. Assist in making projects “work ready” by pulling assets, marking changes etc.

Set up projects in the Project Management system (Project Turf) and maintain an active status report of all jobs. Ensure that all time is entered into the system weekly for all creative team members. Develop instructions for others use on how to use the system. Develop reports for management review, as needed.

Develop a keen understanding of the client’s brands standards, file management and naming protocols. Oversee adherence to file structure standards, naming conventions.

Initiate and control the schedule and completion of all jobs within the Creative Team, ensuring internal cooperation between all teams including Client Communication and New Business. Evaluate creative briefs for team use and review project estimates vs. actual time spent. Assess and help improve current process, systems, and workflow as necessary. Prioritize deliverables, deadlines and resolve scheduling conflicts in conjunction with Client Communication and Creative team members

Facilitate all aspects of the Creative process from project initiation to completion including estimating role hours and cost-of goods for proposal development. Take responsibility for maintaining schedules that ensure deadlines are met by monitoring progress, effectively handling any challenges that may arise, as well as, informing the team (including Client Communication and New Business, all other team members as needed) of revisions and changes in projects. Run update meetings with Client Communication and Creative team members, as needed. Handle multiple schedules and track changes for proper management and version control for multiple jobs ensuring all deliverables and deadlines are met on time.

Proof all work for accuracy prior to its release to clients and/or vendors. Work to design and implement programs aimed at increasing department efficiency and leverage templates, as well as, enforcing the use of proper forms for coordinating work requests.

Work comfortably with many personalities and remain calm and focused. Use flexibility and problem-solving skills to deliver on difficult demands. Bring positive outlook to the team to help through busy times.

Communicate often and well (verbal and written) and apply strong sense of organization and interpersonal skills.
