Creative Operations Manager (PM)

One of our clients is hiring a Creative Services Manager! This role is temp to perm and starts ASAP. The CSM must sit onsite in their Chestnut Hill, MA office.

The client: one of the world's largest privately own retail development firms. The ideal candidate will come from a background in agency, retail, luxury, and/or fashion.

The Creative Operations Manager is the glue that keeps projects – and people – together. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing and executing projects from beginning to end. The project scope can vary from a single piece of collateral to multifaceted, multichannel, marketing campaigns.
The Creative Operations Manager will work under the direction of the Creative Director from whom they will collect project information – deadlines, objectives, budgets, etc… The Creative Operations Manager will also assign individuals or entire teams tasks within the project, while creating and managing detailed schedules throughout the duration of the project. The Creative Operations Manager must be adept at identifying potential roadblocks related to budgets, resources and timelines and be comfortable reporting these potential issues to the Creative Director, when necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Management of creative projects from conception to completion including:

• Establishing overall timing plans through creative development and production processes
• Leading all project planning meetings
• Manage internal creative reviews and approvals
• Create presentations in conjunction with creative team
• Research and advise on production options
• Identify and prep designated production resources
• Assist in developing knowledge of new resources and technology
• Lead production meetings including the creation of integrated production timing plans

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Expert organizational skills
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with relevant project management and design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, JIRA, Basecamp, Asana)
• Knowledge of creative project management processes, workflow and terminology
• Ability to function well in a fast paced (sometimes chaotic) environment under tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, execute upon feedback, and pay close attention to the details
• Experience managing project budgets effectively

LEADERSHIP AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

• Strong track record of leadership including people management
• Relationship building is a critical success factor for this role

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor's degree and at least five years of professional experience
• Minimum of three years project management experience
