Vitamin T is currently partnering with a company in Houston, TX, that is in search of a Creative Marketing Writer &Producer.

JOB SUMMARY:

Researches, writes and produces video content with creative storytelling which supports and communicates the company’s strategic initiatives from concept to post-production, both on location and in the editing studio.   
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
Under general supervision and much decision-making:

  • Researches, concepts and writes original targeted, compelling, timely and appropriate online and offline marketing content including, but not limited to, broadcast, (television and radio) digital, web platforms, presentations, advertising and print media promoting company's product and service offerings to small and medium-sized businesses

  • Works closely with the Executive Team, Management Team, other marketing personnel, internal constituents, and reviewers to produce accurate and informative content.

  • Strives to conform to Corporate style guide and editorial standards.

  • Produces content directly and in collaboration with subject matter experts and other members of the marketing team.

  • Organizes filming schedules in coordination with other video production team members, support staff and filming subjects ensuring projects are delivered on time, with the quality required and to the specifications as required.

  • Conducts interviews with experts in the field for marketing content and testimonial support.

  • Stays abreast of trends and emerging technologies relative to visual communications and implements strategies to increase readership/viewership.

  • Actively participates in meetings including, but not limited to, brainstorming sessions, kick-off meetings, conference calls, execution of campaigns, client meetings, etc.

  •  Able to craft a story and understands how to engage viewers through editing, pace and language

  •  Able to handle logistics for a video shoot, including, but not limited to securing locations, creating schedules, hiring actors and securing interviewees.

  • Basic video editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Basic knowledge of videography, with experience shooting video with DSLRs.

 
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English or related field of study is required.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a related field with demonstrated strong writing and video background/experience.

 
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Excellent interviewing, research and writing skills with an eye for detail and thorough knowledge of English language/grammar.

  • Possesses strong organizational, interpersonal, project management and time management skills.

  • Highly organized, takes pride in attention to detail and high-quality execution of work.

  • Strong understanding of the importance of branding and of developing a voice for a product or service.

  • Proven ability to write for a business-to-business (B2B) audience and leaders of small and medium-sized businesses.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with key stakeholders.

  • Ability to pull together creative and practical talent and create efficient and effective teams.
