Creative Director (ad agency)

Looking for an innovative, driven and passionate Creative Director to lead design and user experience at a Houston digital ad agency. The work environment is energetic and dynamic and requires a person who is comfortable operating at a fast pace, is detail oriented and someone who drives for results and executional excellence.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced creative manager who is fanatical about good design and creating seamless experiences; someone who demands pixel perfection. He/She will be accustomed to the demands of being a senior manager who also plays a hands-on role. To be successful, the Creative Director will need to not only be able to lead a team, but he/she will also need to be willing and able to deliver assets.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs all phases of creative work for major accounts from concept through production.
- Responsible for inspiring and motivating creative teams and accountable for developing and directing creative work of the highest caliber with their teams.
- Responsible for creating brand-on, strategy-on compelling creative advertising campaigns for assigned clients.
- Responsible for mentoring and leading assigned creative staff and being available to critique their work to maintain consistent creative quality and award winning work.
- Participates in many new business development efforts, leading creative teams.
- Works directly with account team on all projects.
- Maintains active list of vendor resources i.e., writers, designers, photographers, and Flash developers.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Advertising, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years experience
- At least 5 years experience within a digital ad agency.
- Expert knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process, including providing clear creative direction, giving timely and helpful coaching to improve creative and producing all work cost effectively and on schedule.
- Strong portfolio of digital work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills that foster and develop existing and new client relationships.
- Ability to solve problems with keen instincts and organizational experience.
- Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills.

Must have previous experience as a creative director to be considered.
