Creative Director, Digital

Vitamin T’s client, an entertainment advertising agency, is looking for a Creative Director of Digital to join their team! This is a temp-to-perm role located in Manhattan.

The Creative Director, Digital would provide creative thinking and innovation for all digital projects. This position is able to distill concepts into digital executions, and invent brand expressions that are unique
and brand-defining. This role reports to the Executive Creative Director.

You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be a self-motivated, collaborative team player. ***You MUST have current/general knowledge of Broadway!****

Responsibilities:

• Represents digital creative strategy to all digital clients.
• Provide digital insights, ideas and perspective in weekly client meetings and lead clients to solutions to daily concerns.
• Manage a team of 4 – 8 creatives.
• Expand a client’s brand identity in the digital space including overseeing design development for websites, email blasts and digital media.
• Collaborates and communicates with the Executive Creative Director, and all other Creative Directors, to maintain consistency across all media
• Effectively communicate digital creative concepts and solutions to internal partners.
• Act as the communication link between the Design and Digital teams, and funnel creative strategies between teams.
• Work with the Digital team (Designers, developers, Technology Director, and digital producers) to concept and build digital solutions for clients, and ensure all ideas can be executed technically, within budget and time frame.


Experience Required:

• Portfolio of digital/interactive work
• 5+ years of experience producing interactive/digital creative solutions
• A bachelor’s degree in Design or a related subject, or the equivalent work experience
• Expertise in traditional design disciplines such as, typography, sketching, grids, imagery and color
• Comprehensive understanding of industry tools for developing screen, animation, brand, illustration and application design
• Understand digital disciplines, technologies and best practices in usability, information architecture,
• UX and responsive design principles.
• Strong knowledge of digital media channels & digital advertising requirements.
• Experience with email marketing and social media platforms.
• Knowledge/experience with client side technologies (e.g. HTML5/CSS/Javascript/Flash etc.).
