Creative Director

We are working on a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Creative Director with a fast-growing local tech company!

As the Creative Director, you will be responsible for driving consistency and standards for the visual brand identity from the website, to marketing collateral, to product. You will introduce and manage standards and templates so the company presents a consistent and high-quality experience for our customers whenever they interact with our brand. You’ll also provide creative direction and budget for our brand agency and other graphic design contractors.

To be successful in this role you will need the following experience and skills:
• A six-plus year track record of brand, graphic design and UX work for technology companies, and a design or project lead for at least a year. Enterprise or hardware technology experience a plus.
• Talented at socializing brand and creative direction to stakeholders, product UX design teams and agency partners to produce high-quality, consistent assets and deliverables. Able to defend and drive alignment around design decisions.
• Skilled at leading multiple external firms to realize one vision, on deadline and on budget.
• Experience in driving a website redesign including planning, project management and development of information hierarchy and page designs (including wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, information architecture diagrams). Know enough HTML, CSS and CMS (Umbraco preferred) to provide guidance to the web dev agency partner during the website redesign and for ongoing site updates.
• Experience in developing templates for marketing collateral, and in supporting content teams to produce effective, on-brand assets like Case Studies, eBooks and more.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide guidance and review projects to ensure overall alignment to corporate brand, design and UX standards.
• Know the best processes to manage and leverage a design library to promote scale and ease-of-use for employees building PowerPoint presentations, product websites and experiences, and marketing collateral.
• Mastery of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop, and proficiency of corporate software (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Like working in a collaborative team environment but are very self-driven and accountable.
