Creative Director

The primary purpose and function of the Creative Director is to create, lead, and inspire the core team for various client facing projects, ensuring the needs of the client are met and the mission and vision of the agency are intact.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage creative teams that develop successful direct response campaigns through collaboration with agency account, media and research forms
  • Develop and maintain agency/client relationships that drive clients’ ROI goals and brand positioning
  • Engage with design/interactive/marketing trends and find innovative ways to share them throughout the organization
  • Drive new business pitches along with agency leaders
  • Develop and nurture innovative and excellent creative partners and freelance resources
  • Is proactive and ambitious in finding opportunities to continue helping the success of the agency
  • Exemplifies the principles of agility and models the values of the agency
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

  • Communication Skills – Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate the message/story of the campaign; reads, writes and speaks fluent English, using appropriate grammar, style and vocabulary
  • Presentation Skills – Effective in a variety of formal presentation settings; effective both inside and outside the organization on both cool data and hot controversial topics; commands attention and can manage group process during the presentation; can change tactics midstream when something isn’t working
  • Conflict Management – Steps up to conflict seeing them as opportunities; reads situations quickly; good at focused listening; can find common ground and get cooperation with minimum noise

  • Experience, Education and/or Training
  • 3+ years in a Creative Director or Associate Creative Director position preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Digital, broadcast and brand experience highly preferred with exposure to direct response
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills required
