Creative Director

Maintains the agency’s creative standards in all work developed and executed by the Creative Department. Helps the Executive Creative Director manage and supervise the department. Maintains a cooperative liaison with members of the account management, traffic, interactive, public relations, accounting, and production departments. Produces bold, strategic, persuasive messages in all media for agency clients. Creates and fosters long-term relationships between agency clients and their customers.

Ideal candidate will:
• Reports to Executive Creative Director and Chief Creative Officer
• Conducts necessary research on all projects
• Reviews client contracts
• Works with members of account management to develop strategic documents and marketing plans
• Works in a team environment to ensure brand consistency across client initiatives
• Take projects from concept to production completion on assigned accounts, counseling creatives (designers and writers) on strategy, concept, copy, and design
• Leads client presentations of creative product
• Responsible for mentorship of all department employees.; supervises assigned members of the department, evaluates performance and makes annual recommendations for advancement and salary increases
• Works with account management and production to make sure jobs are completed within allotted hours and production comes in on budget
• Assists in coordinating the department’s internship program
• Makes staffing recommendations and helps recruit, interview, and hire talent
• Identifies problems and solutions within the creative department
• Crafts, maintains and upholds the public persona of agency clients in terms of tone, attitude and personality
• Assists in planning creative forums and departmental outings and maintaining the department’s educational budget
• Assists traffic in assigning all work
• Identifies, recommends and participates in two public speaking engagements per year to promote the agency
• Makes agency award submission recommendations
• Responsible for maintaining the agency’s brand and promoting its services
• Participates in new business presentations

Requirements:
• 5-7+ years experience in Creative Director role
• BA/BS Degree in relevant field
• Exceptional portfolio
