We are currently looking for a Creative Director to join our client based in Kingston - one of the world's leading experience marketing agencies on a fixed term contract – potentially perm basis.


Our client creates live and online experiences globally that motivate audiences and activate brands and is part of an independent, global network of complementary, wholly-owned agencies.

Their growing team of creative directors is responsible for taking the creative lead on experience marketing projects for the agency and are looking for a passionate, original thinker with proven creative expertise across a range of media to join their team. The broad scope of our work requires an accomplished talent who can conceptualise and direct an entire “experience”.

The successful candidate will be able to drive the creative vision of their experience marketing projects from concept right through production to completion. If you can generate great ideas and have the passion to champion them, we’d love to hear from you.

This role requires strong communication skills to clients at all levels. Confidence to brief effectively and work well in a team environment are as important as an ability to excite clients with our concepts.

Working within project teams, the Creative Director’s role is to drive the creative vision to ensure the successful delivery of superior marketing solutions which exceed their clients' expectations, meet their budget requirements and fulfil the business' goals.

Working with the Executive Creative Director, Creative Directors, Creative Leads and Designers, the successful candidate will play a leading role in the development of concepts and is then responsible for presenting coherently and in a compelling manner the direction and designs for specific events to clients and others.

A Creative Director must work well as a leading member in a team environment; motivating and managing other creative staff and freelance talent, as well as interfacing effectively with other departments within the agency.

Looking beyond specific projects, the Creative Director will take a vital role in shaping the creativity of the whole company.

Key Accountabilities

Lead project-specific creative process, both pre and post sale:

• Enthusiastically contribute to a culture and environment that is conducive to creative WOW.
• Experienced in motivating creative development in an atmosphere where all participants are heard and respected, leading teams to inspiring work, and making the process fun.
• Work in collaboration with account teams to develop realistic client proposals given the constraints of time and budget, to focus on the high impact areas of opportunity, and to create and deliver outstanding presentations.
• Oversee production after the sale to insure creative integrity, be a creative resource to the team as client needs or budget changes, and further develop the relationship with the client.

Collaborate within Account Teams to generate business:

• Help develop new and existing client business development strategies
• Participate in key capabilities presentations.
• Clearly articulate the agency's brand promise and provide anecdotal examples of how that promise can provide value to our clients. Collaborate in preparing and presenting new business proposals and pitches to clients

Develop and manage relationships with a broad range of freelance creative resources:

• Continually seek out new creative talent and actively manage existing vendor/talent relationships.
• Help facilitate interactions between freelance talent and the account team ensuring that that there is clear direction and an accurate understanding of the team's expectations.

• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills as well as creative and artistic presentation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of brand positioning, industry trends.
• Ability to convey ideas in an oral presentation in an exciting and engaging manner.
• Substantial level of related experience including experience as a creative director in an advertising, marketing or digital agency.
• Can convey complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to work in collaboration with the internal departments in bringing concepts to life and finding innovative ways of achieving this within a client budget without compromising on quality
• Strong communication skills and the ability to enthuse and motivate clients and colleagues alike.
