Creative Director

A well known agency here in NYC is looking for a Creative Director on a temp to hire basis starting ASAP.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with:
- Handling Broad Strategies as well as implementing that strategy
- Background should be with Consumer Brands and in particular, Spirits
- Background MUST include the management of team members previously. Candidates will be asked about prior experience developing staff members and creative teams
- Background MUST be Copy Heavy/ Strategy Heavy (digital and consumer based)
- This person should be comfortable participating in the early stages of Business Dev meetings (assisting the founder who is the current "rainmaker")

Key Priorities:
1. Manage, Lead, and ‘Inspire’ the Creative Team
> The current CD position actively manages 4 FT and a variable team of up to 5 freelancers
> The Team Lead for Social Media strategy currently managers 2 additional copywriters
> The new CD will actively manage/coordinate all copy writing – a full-time team of 6 and a variable team of up to an additional 6 positions

2. The CD must come with a strong Strategy and Copy background demonstrating innovative creativity and commercial success - very strong digital experience.

3. The CD should have demonstrated success in working closely with senior Account leadership in the new business pursuits, ‘pitch meetings’, and closure of new name client business.

4. Of course, the successful candidate must be a cultural fit with this client's small entrepreneurial style operating across a globally diverse and highly collaborative team approach to creative work.
