Creative Director - Consumer Experience

In this assignment, the Consumer Experience (CX) Creative Director will be responsible for overseeing the digital experience and key consumer touch points, helping craft ideas and concepts that ensure a seamless, consistent and innovative consumer-first brand experience for this client.

Working with an extensive team of talented designers, writers and agency partners, you will inform concepts and executions across key owned client and partner digital platforms. This will include "client".com, email, services, e-commerce, digital retail, and social media. 

The CX Creative Director will bring unparalleled digital expertise to the wider marketing team, its agency partners, and the greater digital team. The role will push the boundaries of digital experience, content, and communication, and inspire the team to do the best work of their lives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Become the leader and authority within the cx team for driving a seamless, consumer-first creative output, working in parallel with the wider marketing organization to inform and educate digital creative best practices.  
  • Drive the continual evolution and user-experience of clients site, building a premium online brand storytelling and e-commerce destination. 
  • Drive the ideation and concepting of client ownership and its services, defining the initial approach to services, and longer-term creative direction, ideas and executions. 
  • Help establish standards, guidelines and play books for digital partners leveraging brand creative, creating premium online partner experiences, and representing the brand product as best as possible.  
  • Own and continue to develop the always-on voice, look and feel across all global Social Media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat, as well as the new editorial/publishing platform. 
  • Grow and nurture a team of cx designers and creatives to become a best-in-class digital creative unit.  
  • Work closely with producers, brand managers and functional leads to create and inform briefs, with the consumer always front-of-mind in strategy and deliverables. 
  • Oversee cx creative delivery on owned platforms from beginning to end.  
  • Represent cx team creative output throughout the wider org, presenting to key stakeholders and communicating with internal teams and agencies. 
  • Push agency partners to maintain a level of excellence and quality throughout their ideas, executions and presentations.

Key qualifications: 

  • 10+ years experience working in a design company, advertising agency (digital preferred) or in-house creative environment focused on consumer experience / UX. 
  • Broad background in art direction, design and copy that spans digital and retail work 
  • Dynamic, learning agile and focused

  • Driven with eye for excellence in detail

  • Deep experience managing and building teams and processes that deliver the highest-quality creative work

  • A deep understanding of digital, social media, market-wide trends, themes and current cultural events
