Creative Director - Branding

Currently looking for a Creative Director to ensure that the creative process and final product is in keeping with the agencies standards of creativity and excellence and meets the strategic direction of the business. Support new business development with creative excellence and appropriate stakeholder management.

As the creative lead, the Creative Director is responsible for developing and implementing creative principles (leadership and vision) for the business. This role requires the development and articulation of a strong vision for design within the agency and a commitment to ensuring this is translated to the design team, the rest of the business, clients and key partners through specific business development strategies. The Creative Director mentors, guides and provides support for the design director/s and the design team and develops a creative brief for projects that conveys the key elements of the creative direction.

The Creative Director's ultimate accountability is to produce outstanding creative solutions through the design team that exceed client expectations and meet business goals.

Responsibilities:
> Develops and leads creative effort for new business and projects by working in collaboration with the CEO and Client Services Director to provide appropriate creative solutions to client needs.
> Articulates the agencies vision for design through specific disciplines. e.g. creative briefings, client and industry presentations to enhance and increase external perception of the agency.
> Establishes and maintains industry presence through building relationships with relevant industry partners, companies, institutions etc.
> Mentors, guides and supports the Design Director and creative teams’ in developing their talents and meeting the agencies needs within specific projects.
> Facilitates the development of relationships between clients, the Design Director and relevant Account Manager to enable the successful completion of projects (on time and on budget).
> Nurtures a culture that values creativity through leading by example, adhering to the guiding principles, and behavioural expectations.
> Works with the CEO and Client Services Director to ensure that creative direction is linked to business strategy and profitability.
> Ensure that all projects are delivered within agreed time frames.
> Encourages and assists the design team in delivering work that has not been done before. Do things differently.
> Ensure the studio creates design that emphasises an idea. That communicates clearly whilst disregarding anything that could detract from the idea. Understand the purpose, the clients business and communicate it clearly.
> Produce creative that is accurate in thinking, execution and language.
> Develop an understanding of client needs, build and grow existing and new professional relationships.
