This is a rare and unique, contract-to-hire opportunity to be part of a long established non-profit organization in a highly influential way in a newly created position.

In this role you will:

• be responsible for campaign concepts, development and execution of varied projects which could include: Catalog, E-Commerce, Council Ads, Store Signage, Product Packaging, Jamborees, and
Special Events
• have a hand in all communications and marketing proposals
• lead the creative effort in effectively promoting products, services and information to customers
• contribute to developing innovative new concepts for improving marketing business models.
• plan and oversee the creative execution of all marketing campaigns, including print advertising, online and direct marketing, E-Commerce/Social Media creative and sales collateral.
• assist in the development of brand vision, creating strong concepts and executions, and establish a consistent corporate image throughout all promotional materials and events, ensuring the continuity of design and communication.
• develop and implement retail marketing strategies fo for this division
• support communication efforts between this division and the National division. Capture and interpret their marketing needs and present design solutions which can easily be implemented.
• take responsibility for all creative projects and staff, and provide leadership to proactively pursue ways to insure that project objectives will be met.
• maintain an awareness of the status and project deliverables of all project work and manage the distribution of work, monitoring of schedules and completion within budget.
• conceptualize with the Merchants, the Marketing team and the Director on seasonal and event formats.
• ensure the design layout and release of assigned projects meets company and department standards
• partner with the Visual Merchandiser and Planning/Development to provide creative direction impacting visual presentation with effective packaging, signage, and POP graphics within the retail environment.
• attend trade shows and conferences to stay current with new developments and trends in marketing, design, art, photography, and technology.

You should have:

• B.A degree in Graphic Design or Marketing. A Masters degree is preferred
• Seven+ years of experience in Advertising, Graphic Design and or Marketing covering a
range of print, online, e-commerce, direct mail and photo art direction responsibilities.
• Strong time management and creative resource management capabilities with proven
ability to take projects from conception to completion
• The ability to lead and inspire others
• Prior experience managing and leading a team of creatives
