Creative Designer (for Print & Web)

Since 1922, this provider of insurance, banking, investments to more than 11 million member and known for their outstanding service, financial strength and employee well-being, is in need of a long-term contract (1year) Creative Designer (for Print & Web); onsite, 40 hours a week, in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities:
• Create concepts and designs for print, web, brand, and marketing communications
• Work closely with key partners to ensure quality output and production. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Create and execute concepts and designs as well as guide production of complex and integrated visual/technical solutions and prototypes for use in usability testing.
• Present design objective and concepts to partners and stakeholders across the enterprise.
• Ensure compliance with design, brand, legal and accessibility standards/requirements
• Facilitate the development and improvement of design processes, standards and guidelines.
• Resolve design and technical issues through an understanding of the business and design principles. Clearly articulates the various facets of the issue and facilitates resolution.

Requirements:
• 5+ years experience in marketing, advertising or digital design.
• Bachelor's degree
• Must have a solid grasp of fundamental concepts of print, web publishing and graphic design principles. Intermediate skills with web design.
• Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, Visio Familiarity with MS Excel.
• Fully proficient understanding of marketing/advertising and/or user experience and/or interactive design principles.
• Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience collaborating on cross-functional initiatives and contributing to business decisions.
• Self-motivated and able to work well with a diverse group of people and experience meeting tight deadlines.
• Fully proficient skills in print and traditional media channels; knowledge of digital channel technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS and JavaScript).
