Creative Copywriter

Company in North San Diego County seeks Creative Copywriter to conceptualize and develop new content for existing products. The Creative Copywriter will provide marketing content for product development and copy, ads for online and marketing purposes, clever out-of-the-box copy, tag copy, and social media. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire role.

The main responsibilities of the Creative Copywriter are:
• Product development
Work with company's Art Department to develop creative new content for company products.

• Quality control
Responsible for product content to be fun, engaging, thematically appropriate, in keeping with the spirit of the intellectual property, within the scope of the vision outlined at the beginning of the project, and in general sync with company brand.

• Write art descriptions
Company relies on a pool of creative designers and freelance artists to generate new artwork for its various product lines every year. The Creative Copywriter will work with company's Art Department as needed to write descriptions of new art required for each project.

• Progress tracking of multiple assigned projects
Manage the status and progress of all active projects as assigned by the Creative Director. Work closely with creative designers, editors, QA, and product producers and others to ensure each project reaches its full potential while also staying on target to hit deadlines.

• Assist with budget and deadline management
Work with product producers and management to ensure that budgets for assigned projects are within company's specifications, and that sufficient benchmarks and checks are in place so that both projects and budgets meet planned deadlines.

• Partnership relation management
Company works with a great number of valued partners in our development projects including valued licensors, freelance artists, writers, editors, and QA. The Creative Copywriter will assist management in maintaining good communication and overall excellent relationships with these partners.

• Inter-department communication and workflow
Maintain good and frequent communication with other members of the product development team and with other internal departments including art, graphic design, production, marketing, and sales.
