Corporate Events Manager

Our client is looking for a Corporate Events Manager. This is an onsite 12month contract with benefits. The ideal person will be responsible for but not limited to:

The Events Manager is responsible for events ranging in size from 10 to 500 participants. The majority of the events will be with the company services Group. The events manager will work with businesses within company to produce and support meetings, events and programs that support the goals of the business.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
.
• Creating unique, highly experiential, innovative and distinct event experiences that serve to differentiate Schwab
• Vendor selection, outside vendor management,
• Site selection for hotels and event venues
• Hotel negotiations, hotel management
• Collateral production
• Budgeting
• Executive briefings
• On-site management


You will need to bring:
• Experience planning and creating high touch, highly experiential, events for clients, employees and/or executives
• Sophistication and finesse in event design
• Ability to manage events of varying sizes and levels of complexity
• Solid contract negotiation skills
• Excellent budget management skills, including the ability to meet monthly deadlines and quarterly spend requirements
• Website copy and layout development experience (coding knowledge not required)
• Experience coordinating registration, including complex housing management
• Experience with travel arrangements, including air and ground transportation knowledge
• Strong on-site execution experience
• Excellent interpersonal and customer servicing skills
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation
