Corporate Communications Writer

We are seeking a Corporate Communications Writer for one of our valued clients. This assignment will be open-ended, long term contract onsite at our client's offices.

Summary:
The candidate will work in conjunction with corporate communications and assigned teams to lead the writing and editing of various internal and external communications programs including but not limited to feature articles, publications, brochures, investor and public relations materials, presentations and corporate advertising. Be a leader and champion for editorial quality of corporate communications.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications (Journalism) or similar plus 7-10 years relevant experience. Work experience in upstream energy preferred but not necessary.

Possess strong writing, editing and proofing abilities. Follow AP style.

Ability to write quickly and accurately as well as re-purpose existing copy for new use. Ability to write for different media and audiences. Good listener/interviewer/note-taker and researcher. Ability to dig and find answers.

Aptitude for understanding and explaining technical topics.

Able to follow directions and work well as part of a diverse, global team, but also able to work independently and manage own time.

Must be a self-starter, deadline- oriented, and be able to communicate with all levels, including senior management.

Able to work on PC and network. Familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Job Duties:
Meet with clients to understand project. Research, write, edit and proof materials for use across organization. Meet all deadlines.

Use project management tools to manage time and cost. Back up files.
