Corporate Communications Manager

Our top financial services client is growing their Corporate Marketing group and in immediate need of an experienced mid to senior level Corporate Communications Manager. This is with a highly collaborative, friendly and fast-paced work group and the position is an onsite 40 hours/ week contract-to-hire position in San Francisco. The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for strategic media relations; extensive writing and editing, including press releases and a broad range of internal and external communication initiatives to support the company brand. He or she will serve as a secondary contact for our client’s public relations agency and other relevant communications contractors.

Partner with Chief Marketing Officer and business partners to develop communications strategies and deliverables to engage, motivate and align stakeholders with various projects and programs across the company.
Write, proofread and edit press releases and announcements, company-wide communications, intranet postings, talking points, templates, presentations, plans and campaigns for special projects.
Discover opportunities for new communications and campaigns by keeping tabs on various internal communities and participating in meetings, events, etc. to help spread awareness and information across the company.
Guard and enhance the company culture of service through communication strategies that foster core values, employee unity, and ensure a deep rooted understanding of the Bank’s history.
Establish and monitor metrics to weigh the internal and external ROI of marketing and communications.
Possess strong judgment and interpersonal skills to be able to work with highly confidential information.
Develop and execute strategic, integrated communications programs that support short- and long-term business objectives and that enhance the company’s reputation.
Lead crisis communications planning and response for a variety of issues, maintain and evolve scenario-based communications plans and templates to ensure the company is at-the-ready to respond to issues as they may arise.
Develop communications plans to support community relations efforts and maintain consistent reporting of company impact and results.

Required Skills and Background:
Degree in Communication, Public Relations or Journalism.
Minimum 5 - 8 years communications experience.
Strong media relations experience.
Financial services writing experience preferred.
Possess a strong command of grammar, spelling and both business and AP style writing.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities.
Accountable for meeting tight deadlines and possess a sense of urgency.
Must have strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Able to think strategically and incorporate multiple, sometimes differing inputs to achieve best messaging/positioning.
