Corporate Communications Coordinator

Excellent Marketing/Communications support role in the Long Island Area! This role will support the corporate communications department's current project-based efforts in leading communications initiatives for our company's 14,000 employees - keeping them informed and engaged on a daily basis and giving them the tools to operate in alignment with our mission, values and operating principles.

Basic duties:

Assist with the coordination of communication plans and support a variety of writing assignments including press releases, presentations, executive communications, articles and pitch letters.

Update content for company intranet, highlighting events and people.

Assist in a variety of department activities including event coordination and company town halls.

Assist in the production of in-house videos and photos shoots as needed.

Years of relevant experience:
3+ years supporting marketing communications including both internal and external communications within a large corporate entity

Excellent writing skills, including experience in creating, writing, editing, proof-reading within a professional organization.
Media relations exposure and previous external public relations experience strongly preferred
Strong communications skills
Strong project coordination skills

Experience in a larger corporate environment preferred

* Excellent written and presentation skills
* Demonstrated writing skills (samples will be required)
Editing and proofreading skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong collaborator with ability to engage multiple stakeholders
* Demonstrated experience with publishing tools, PowerPoint, Excel and Word, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

This opportunity is a 6 month contract role with the possible opportunity for extension or permanent employment.
