Corporate Brand Marketing Manager

This TOP fortune 500 company, head-quartered in Boston, that specializes in online database software for small businesses is revolutionizing the way people work by enabling professionals to develop their own cloud-based applications for driving vastly improved work productivity. As their first first Corporate Brand Marketing Manager, you’ll develop and execute strategic communication activities focused on establishing the brand. This will include developing high level strategic themes such as mission, vision, and brand pillars; collaborating with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across product, UX, and through all marketing channels. You’ll also help our employees understand the new and evolving brand strategy, our range of corporate brand initiatives and how their own roles contribute to pushing our brand forward.

You’ll also lead the charge on communicating our company’s competitive advantage to the public, business community and industry constituencies using a wide range of communication media to create and promote brand awareness, reinforce key messaging, and build the brand’s image.


 Evaluate and sign with a top tier brand agency, managing the cross-functional creation,

collaboration, and strategy delivery of a major corporate brand update for the new company.

 Facilitate and manage the cross functional creation and roll-out of our new corporate

brand in concert with a brand agency. Manage the day-to- day brand agency relationship

in concert with public relations and other services providers.

 Collaborate with marketing web and content teams to drive consistent branding for a

meaningful web refresh, while also helping to develop original content for the company's

internal and external sites.

 Communicate and coordinate our various relationships to drive activities with local

Boston high-tech associations, other community involvement opportunities, such as

corporate sponsorships and social responsibility programs.

 Determine and evaluate the most effective paid media and advertising communication

channels (online and offline) at the corporate level to drive brand awareness out to key

audiences in different verticals, geographies, or industries.

 Solicit and review branded content to ensure all information is accurate and consistent

with the company’s marketing strategies.

 Educate and empower internal employees as the brand champion to help educate

employees why brand is so important, and how our brand is depicted in the marketplace.

 Partner with internal teams to create consistent brand activations across the company


o Marketing campaigns team- ensure brand strategy is being upheld throughout

campaign communications, look and feel

o Product and UX/Design team

o Partner team

o Corporate responsibility

o Employee/Employer branding (with HR)

o Internal communications

o External Communities (online and offline)

 Create corporate templates as needed for items such as PowerPoint templates, business

cards, corporate collateral, SWAG etc.

 Brand guidelines and governance:

o Create and deliver a brand style guide that influences downstream product,

website, corporate signage, brand assets, etc.

o Serve as the primary owner and steward of the brand across the company.

o Work with brand agencies and designers to continually update brand guidelines.

 Work with PMM and UX teams to create product family hierarchy and names and icons

as needed.


 Requires a Bachelor’s degree; Masters degree preferred.

 7+ years business marketing and brand-related experience either inside a product

company or and agency (experience with online businesses or consumer products would

be ideal).

 Able to operate independently and efficiently to manage multiple tasks, priorities and

projects simultaneously and successfully.

 Strategic thinker and leader with the ability to manage small to large project teams,

influence others and make sound decisions decisively based on data or insights. Strong

prioritization and time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and


 Leads and influences effectively within the organization and builds strong relationships to

deliver outstanding results with limited resources.

 Demonstrated ability and self-motivation to excel within an environment of change,

startup mentality and a drive for continuous improvement
