Copywriting Manager

• Work with Integrated Communications Management and Product Marketing to understand customer segments, go-to-market strategies, unique selling proposition, customer research, and competitive advantages to create compelling campaigns and messaging that persuasively convey the value of products and delivers against marketing objectives.
• Develop creative campaign concepts and write persuasive copy for those campaigns working closely with art directors, designers and production team to display copy in final format.
• Work with content operations writers and leverage curated content and systems (Acrolinx) to ensure a consistent messaging strategy and execution across channels.
• Communicate complex scientific or clinical data in a way that is clear and compelling to the target audiences
• Lead brainstorming sessions with the art director and other members of the creative team and outside agencies in order to develop ideas for campaign concepts and visuals and ultimately, the copy itself.
• Align messages through various types of media and communication channels.
• Provide messaging and copywriting direction, guidance and support to the marketing communications staff worldwide and to outside advertising agencies and other third party relationships.
• Help to develop and maintain brand standards/platform, ensure internal communications are maintained and brand standards/values are visible company-wide.
• Guide and implement the adoption of best practices for effective concept and messaging development and measurement.

• Minimum of 5 years copywriting experience in an advertising agency or in-house corporate setting working on integrated campaigns.
• Writing experience in life sciences, medical marketing, or healthcare industry required.
• Must have a strong portfolio demonstrating advanced conceptual and copywriting expertise for a variety of online and offline marketing materials
• Strong presentation skills with ability to effectively present campaign concepts and creative.
• Experience developing and complying with brand and messaging standards.
• Experience writing and critiquing creative briefs and managing the full concept-to-launch process, a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be collaborative and able to effectively prioritize and meet appropriate deadlines
• Experience formatting copy within Adobe InDesign CS6 and some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software preferred.

• B.A. in English, Communications, Journalism or other relevant major
