Our client, a university in Boston, is hiring for a part-time copywriter / editor to work onsite in their Boston, MA office! The role starts on August 31st and would require approx 15-30 hours/week.

Marketing & Publications, Boston University Metropolitan College

Boston University's Metropolitan College (MET) is a dynamic enterprise with more than 60 degree and
certificate programs. MET Marketing & Publications produces all brochures, websites, direct mail,
advertising (print, online, and radio), and other publications for the College and its divisions,
departments, and offices.

The Assistant Copy Writer/Editor works on-site with the full-time copy writer to create engaging content;
communicate effectively with diverse audiences; collaborate and conceptualize; and translate raw
information into clear, effective communications. The Assistant Copy Writer/Editor will:

• Conceptualize, write, edit, and proofread assigned copy/content (print, web, radio)
• Ensure content reflects/strengthens brand standards, tone, and practices
• Develop creative concepts in collaboration with copywriter and graphic designer
• Fact-check and review accuracy of academic information, including URLs, course and faculty
titles, phone numbers, emails, quotations, dates/days, and attributions
• Collect and maintain files of competitors' advertising and marketing materials

Critical are mastery of spelling, grammar, and tone; excellent reading comprehension; skilled copy
editing; attention to detail; and self-motivation. Must be able to multitask and meet strict deadlines.

Two years of experience and writing samples required. This is an on-site position, 15-30 hours per week.
