Exciting long term contract opportunity with a Fortune 500 company in Austin, Texas.

DescriptionThe ideal candidate will:

 Combine strong writing and editing ability with a solid understanding of processes, products, technology and/or procedures.

 Write and edit copy for a wide variety of analytical, interpretive, documentary, promotional literature and publications for hard copy and/or the web.

 Utilize available resources to gather or develop source content to revise, combine and/or correct existing materialUtilize available resources to gather or develop source content for articles or other

publications; interview customers, subject matter experts, and engineers or other technical personnel to secure content.

 Prepare written copy, as well as reviews and edit copy for proper use of terminology, style, direction, content, grammar, punctuation and clarity according to specific (provided) standards.

 Perform editing, proofreading, and quality control functions to produce technical documents in a deadline-driven environment.

 Ensure accuracy, consistency and appropriateness of style, format, syntax and spelling.

 Interact closely with product and marketing specialists, subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to understand and meet assigned expectations.

 Manage multiple deadlines and priorities within specific time frames.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

 Exhibit sound decision-making, prioritizes work appropriately and requires only occasional supervision.

 Seeks out opportunities to broaden knowledge and skills beyond the defined expectations of the position.

Requirements:

 Bachelors degree in English or technical field. Experience may substitute for education.

 Two years of editing experience needed in the (technology industry required; semiconductor industry preferred).

 Minimum of 5 five years technical editing experience in the semiconductor or high-tech industry

 Highly organized and detail-oriented

 Time management and project management skills

 Expertise in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

 Expertise in Adobe Acrobat Pro (for review and markup)

 Be accustomed to editing online and managing multiple deadlines and priorities.

 Strong interpersonal skills

 Experience with document formatting and templates.

 Strong commitment to quality and detail.

 Good verbal communication skills

 Good team skills
