Our Corporate client's non-traditional in-house agency is seeking a Copywriter/Editor to join their Dynamic team! This team is a creative group with all the benefits of shaping and maintaining brand identities and the experience of an outside agency. They believe creativity is a business advantage and they are looking for self-driven people who provide diversity of thought and have a passion for doing great work in any medium - print, digital or live experience.

The Copywriter/Editor is expected to create bodies of work that make our client's employees feel engaged, whether it’s a message from a sr. leader or a process change that requires action. The Copywriter/Editor will be a thinker and a doer.

The Copywriter/Editor generates ideas and concepts that are original, distinctive, and impactful. They must bring the appropriate voice into work and copy, help shape the style, tone, structure, and voice of copy content across a variety of media (e.g., digital, print, web, and video). Writes, proofreads, and edits copy for internal audiences. Contributes to projects of medium scope and complexity. Communicates and collaborates with other communication team members and partners to ensure a cohesive product or message.

Responsibilities:
• Generates and shares original concepts and copy.
• Writes, proofreads, fact checks and edits copy that reflects the conceptual and strategic vision.
• Creates high quality content across multiple channels.
• Manages editorial work against campaign lifecycle
• Proactively addresses issues and ensures due dates are met. Manages issues/changes and escalates, as appropriate.
• Utilizes visual thinking skills to effectively collaborate with communication team members and partners
• As a student of marketing, maintains a high awareness of latest industry trends and best practice work
• Draws on an understanding of target audience in all works
• May coach and proofreads content generated by other internal writers to ensure standards are met and provide feedback.
• May write articles and formal announcement emails as well as digital, social, print, and experiential creative copy and ideas.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or related experience in English, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications or related field of study.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
• Portfolio containing finished professional pieces as well as conceptual work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to receive and utilize feedback.
• Experience in most media channels: print, digital, web, etc.
• Strong presentation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment. Open-minded and collaborative.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and resourceful with limited supervision
