POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for creating and editing corporate written communications and publications, as well as interacting with external stakeholders, to ensure that all departments and corporate functions are broadcasting a consistent and accurate Company message, which will enhance the visibility and perception of the Company’s products and services with various audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with the Company’s Marketing Team and other employees to write copy and create written content that maintains a consistent message and the Company brand, in both style and substance, across all business units and departments
Gathers, writes, edits, maintains and otherwise creates content for all corporate communications, including but not limited to: Company websites, digital signage, brochures, advertisements, presentations, speeches, award submissions, advertising, large proposals, company video scripts and press releases
Assists others with written communications, speeches or other presentations by either writing content or assisting them by editing their material
Ensures our written communications and presentations provide the intended message and use accurate and approved facts, data points or anecdotes
Actively develops and maintains content for all corporate Websites ensuring that all material is current and accurate, new projects and initiatives are properly represented and the overall effectiveness of the site is secure
Works with the Corporate Graphic Designer to maintain our brand and message by creating and editing copy and then double checking the final product for accuracy
Interfaces with key external stakeholders on behalf of the company including the media, investors, the government, the public and others.
Assists in the management and coordination of all media communications and press relations including drafting press releases, monitoring of press comments and coordinating meetings/contact between CenterPoint employees and relevant journalists
Develops and maintains press kits and other promotional materials for distribution
Assists various departments with their writing, communications and PR needs.
Completes work consistent with corporate policies and procedures
Performs special projects as requested
Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree with a communications, journalism, public relations or similar degree required and 5+ years’ experience in writing copy, corporate communications and public relations preferred, real estate experience is a plus
Exceptional writing and grammatical skills required (written samples)
Outstanding oral communication skills
Must possess strong interpersonal and collaborative ability
Capacity to manage elevated stress levels and can work under an active, intense and often last-minute environment while maintaining professionalism and productivity
Sensitivity to the needs, pressures and demands of others
An ability to take constructive criticism and resolve disagreements
Self-initiative and good organizational skills required
Flexible with regards to work schedule
Ability to travel approximately 20-25%.
Strong technical skills with standard industry computer software
Experience and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Possess a customer- service mentality, business acumen and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time
Ability to handle a fast paced environment, including high stress situations
