Copywriter (Medical Device)

The in-house advertising agency for our client seeks an exceptionally talented copywriter for their highly creative team.
The Copywriter will work closely with the Art Director, Designer and Marcom Managers while developing messaging and managing copy for a variety of large-scale and tactical projects. These projects include product brochures, case studies, ads, spec sheets, tip sheets, tradeshow graphics, direct mailers, landing pages, ad campaigns (online and print) and other marketing initiatives. In addition to creating new materials, the Copywriter will be responsible for editing and proofing all drafts. The Copywriter will also be expected to actively contribute to concept development and final deliverables. Each project must reflect the CareFusion brand and style.
The ideal candidate must have a strong passion for writing, ability to manage multiple projects and timelines at once and willingness to learn product details and benefits. Experience with search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Account Management and Creative Services teams to determine the conceptual and copy direction of advertising and marketing initiatives
• Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
• Work from creative briefs and project tasks under the Marcom Manager to translate concepts into effective, compelling copy concepts and verbiage

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (with a major in English, Journalism, Advertising, Communications or a related field)
• 3-5 years of content creation and copywriting experience
• Strong understanding of marketing and advertising principles
• Exceptional ability in writing, editing and proofreading with attention to detail
• Strong understanding of strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
• Ability in handling multiple projects and tasks along with competing deadlines, simultaneously
• Understanding of graphic design with a keen appreciation of the interplay between textual and visual elements
• Overall computer literacy and typing speed
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat and web navigation
• Strong ability in effective communication with various levels of management
• Full understanding of publishing styles, grammar and spelling (e.g. AMA manual of style, Chicago manual of style)

Experience in the B-to-B medical technology, biology, genetics, pharma or healthcare industry
is highly preferred.
