Aquent is currently searching for a Copywriter for our valued financial services industry client in Austin, Texas.

The successful candidate will review creative strategies and develop concepts with the Art Director and write all copy pertaining to projects. Ability to take diverse and complex ideas and develop straightforward, compelling copy that supports the brand. Provides conceptual solutions where necessary and understands and works within budgets and timetables. Negotiates and convinces clients on presented ideas, concepts and solutions. Work is reviewed by the Associate Creative Director. Demonstrated copywriting experience in national advertising with direct response marketing using creative strategies, considering non-traditional direct marketing approaches is required. Strong conceptual skills with the ability to listen and gain insight for ideas. Be a well-rounded copywriter who excels at both print and digital communications.

The ideal candidate:
• Has 5+ years of writing experience knowledge of a regulated industry is helpful and financial services writing experience a big plus.
• Has the ability to ask questions and develop a consultative relationship with colleagues.
• Quickly responds to changing requirements, markets, and insights, and can think ahead.
• Is a strong “big picture” thinker who can look beyond a specific creative piece to the marketing ecosystem in which it lives.
• Has flexibility to work on a wide range of projects, from high profile conceptual work to the more day-to-day quick-turn copy deliverables.
• Has the skill to take diverse and often complex ideas and develop straightforward, compelling copy that mirrors the brand voice.
• Excels at writing both short and long copy for either print or digital.
• Has solid b2c and b2b experience, general advertising-conceptual ability a plus
• Is detail oriented, able to adhere to process, and roll with repeated content revisions.
• Collaborates well with cross-functional team members including UX, development, design, and account managers to solve strategic challenges.
• Is self-motivated, comfortable with managing multiple projects and tight deadlines, and thrives on new challenges.
