This is a full-time, onsite assignment (40 hours; Monday through Friday).

You are a highly talented writer who creates bold, strategic, and persuasive marketing copy that furthers our client’s position as a health care leader. Experience and the ability to strategize content across a multitude of formats are a must. Journalism background preferred.

You’ll join a team of skilled content experts, working closely with internal business partners and clients to ensure we’re developing innovative content while maintaining our brand and voice standards. Responsibilities
Write effective, compelling business marketing copy
• Create outward-facing, benefit-driven marketing materials and digital content for the business audience, including brokers and employers
• Develop high-quality, error-free copy under tight deadlines
• Translate complicated ideas into easy-to-understand copy that follows our brand, voice, and style guidelines
• Smoothly incorporate data into marketing copy to provide credible proof for claims
• Translate language into graphics (USA Today-style and infographics) wherever possible
• Proven skill across a variety of mediums, including print, digital, graphics, and presentations

Create and manage high-level, innovative work
• Contribute strategically to the long-term vision and evolution of our content position
• As complex topics develop, assumes responsibility to be a marketing and content expert — changes as needs evolve
• Identify upcoming trends in health care and offer recommendations for translating these trends into projects that meet our customers’ business needs
• Initiate new project concepts of your own and partner with design to manage them through to completion
• Work closely with project managers, marketing services consultants, and internal business partners to understand their needs and translate them to effective marketing materials

Collaborate with internal business partners
• Ensure the customer/client/end user perspective is at forefront of all creative and design decisions and initiatives
• Set and meet deadlines in very busy department

Essential skills
• 3-5 years experience as a marketing copywriter, preferably within a business environment
• Web experience a necessity
• Experience writing about the health care industry, including health care reform, a plus
• Experience working openly and collaboratively with multiple editors, and in completing work independently and as part of a creative team
• Proven ability to strategically consult and effectively manage business partners, stakeholders, and other creatives
• Experience managing projects from ideation through delivery
• Superior writing skills with the ability to create exciting, clear and persuasive messages
• Impeccable attention to detail, and strong creative, analytical, and communication skills
• Curiosity, adaptability, good judgment, and teamwork
• The ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues in different roles, departments, and locations
• Medium to advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus
