The Copywriter is of course responsible for the writing side, but must also be able to contribute to the visual side of the concept development and execution of creative deliverables. Responsibilities include creating and communicating concepts, implementing marketing strategies, and developing interactive solutions. Reporting to the Creative Director, and Art Director, the Copywriter will often work with a collaborative team of art directors, designers, and production specialists. Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, the Copywriter will demonstrate an ability to generate and justify concepts to both the client and the project team.
-Must be able to concept, create and write engaging campaigns for any and all clients, across media
-Be able to understand your audience and write in multiple voices and styles as you may be required to quickly switch from one client project to the next
-Must be able work closely and effectively with art directors, designers and production, collaborating to develop amazingly creative concepts
-Must be able to understand strategy and be an active participant in ensuring the integrity of the project strategy is maintained throughout the creative process
-Must be able to demonstrate effective time management - handle and prioritize multiple projects regardless of the inevitable changing scope, timelines, goals, deliverable, etc.
-Strong print and online portfolio of conceptual work - showcasing digital
-You must love all things digital and have an uncontrollable need to stay current on all new creative technologies!!
