OVERVIEW:
The copywriter writes copy for all signs, brochures, newsletters, etc. and is to be the voice of the brand for everything that represents the company. Copywriter will be in partnership with the merchant team in order to develop product information and to bring marketing to “life.”

RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Writing all signs, brochures, hang tags, fliers, label copy, newsletters, calendars, advertising, public relations, video news releases, and training aids as requested by the Copy Director, Creative Directors and Vice President, Creative Marketing
• Using the voice of the brand to the customer
• Partnering with the Merchant team to learn and develop product information
• Collaborating with the Creative Directors and Graphic Designers to bring the marketing "to life”
• Proofreading copy
• Ensuring that all work is written on time (via the Marketing Coordinators)
• Attendance in relevant meetings to include all Marketing meetings
• Create and edit floorset signage packages and maintain database of all signage
• Work with cross-functional partners to determine signage needed
• Must be a strong editor with superior written and verbal communication skills
• Serve as copy lead on testing & reactive projects
• Ensure marketing accuracy and consistency with merchant requests
• Must be proactive and detail-oriented with sharp focus on consistency and efficiency in speed-centered environment
• Utilize existing creative to translate across multiple versions/formats of POS and CRM
• Maintain close partnership with creative copy team to maintain consistent brand voice
• Proven experience in proofreading and grammar skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in Mac
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a copy writing capacity
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Works well in team environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• An ability to tell a story using images and words
• A demonstrated ability to write "brand-right" copy
• Strategic thinking skills
• Conceptual skills
• Demonstrated ability to write in a female voice
• Needs to be both strategic and practical (willingness to do mundane tasks such as hangtags).
