THE JOB
Our client is seeking a Copywriter for several projects they have now and will have in the future. They're looking to work with this Copywriter on an as needed basis for projects that typically have a 2 week turnaround time. The first project will start this week and will be around 10-15 flexible hours of work. They're perfectly comfortable with a fully remote employee, but would prefer this individual to sit on the West Coast. The role of a Copywriter can be summed up in a single directive—make people respond.

The Copywriter will…

• be responsible for concept and delivery of branded B2C marketing copy for e-mail, web and social promotions, and special project campaigns
• stay up to date with other competitive digitally native CPG brands in order to produce copy that is on trend/catchy
• ensure that all copy meets the expectations set by the Marketing team’s creative brief
• ensure that all copy is delivered on deadline, proofed and 100% error free
• report to and work closely with the Creative Director and Senior Copy Manager to ensure that all copy is aligned with the brand voice

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We need someone who is always thinking of the best way to say it. We are looking for a creative writer who’s super organized, eagle-eyed and fast. We're seeking someone who's set up to work from home and is comfortable working with clients from home and have experience working remotely with clients already. 

• displays excellent command of the English language with a knack for sentence structure and grammar
• works diligently to understand the target audience and understands the value of research and competitive set awareness
• understands the importance of deadlines and plans accordingly to meet them
• is professional, adapting quickly to unscheduled work and impromptu projects
• is a keen observer that understands the best ideas can come from anywhere (out of the office), at any moment (off the clock) and is always on the lookout for inspiration
• loves participating in the creative process from brainstorm to launch, actively seeks out opportunities to contribute during all phases
• is an articulate speaker able to present ideas clearly, occasionally to a room full of people
• is a team player comfortable in a collaborative environment and always eager to share and refine ideas
• is always receptive to constructive feedback and understands that revision is an essential part of the creative process
• is detail oriented and intimately familiar with The Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebook rules
• has three to five years of writing or editing experience, preferably in CPG (e-commerce or retail ok), advertising
• BA in English preferred
