Our agency client in New York City is seeking an innovative Copywriter. The team is focused on launching products in entertainment franchises, fan cultures and fan engagement, participatory programs and story-telling, really routed in first figuring out “what people are doing” rather than working immediately off of brand briefs.

Ideal Candidate:
-Has a wide variety of influences
-Is inherently curious
-Understands how to tell stories through experiences
-Studies immersive experiences, games and advertising
-Has a passion for pop culture
-Can sell their own work
-Is aware of mass and nascent technologies
-Can process feedback and iterate based on those comments

Requirements:
-Creative. Can generate big picture platform, campaign ideas and specific tactics. This person is a born storyteller, both on the page and at the podium, and is as excited about the story told in a pitch as nailing the perfect tagline or ad concept.
-This person should be able to work independently, or in collaboration with an art-focused partner.
-They should demonstrate versatility writing in different voices, as well as for channels, platforms and formats.
-They will participate in every stage of the project from helping respond to RFPs to scribing all manner of copy.
-Experience & work that is: designed for participation; exhibits a knowledge of fan cultures or leaning into online behaviors; is engaging and designed to earn media rather than fill a paid media slot
