Copywriter, Brand Strategy

Job Description
The copywriter will be charged with the overall production and management of written copy across the Brand Strategy team’s communications. Responsibilities include crafting and maintaining copy for the media mogul's portfolio digital destination, crafting email and social communications, developing video scripts for informative and entertaining video content, cultivating creative concepts for internal and external advertising clients, shaping presentation language and more.

In addition to editorial and copywriting ability, the candidate should possess strong project management, time management and interpersonal skills. Candidate will be working with the core team managing written projects, but will be the point of contact liaising with individuals across the organization to manage the collection of raw materials/information for written pieces, schedule and conduct interviews with key individuals as well as write/produce several pieces for digital publication within a given timeline.

Candidate should have a strong voice with the ability interpret and present data and information as an engaging and positive story.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• A Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3-5 years of experience writing for digital, advertising, and/or media
• Familiarity with PowerPoint, Keynote a plus.
• A terrific portfolio
• Experience in writing
• A positive, can-do attitude, along with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to multi-task in a fun, fast-paced environment.
• Strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• An affinity for media.
• A wholehearted openness to feedback and direction.

Responsibilities
• Interpret key organization messaging to establish overall tone of digital communication (website, emails, etc)
• Conceive, develop and produce written pieces in partnership with overall website team
• Shaping creative concepts into engaging presentations
• Developing scripts for informative video content
• Interpret briefs and conduct interviews with individuals throughout the organization to craft written pieces. Take initiative to gather the necessary information.
• Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, tone and content
• Amend, revise and develop existing digital copy to align with established tone of voice
• Project manage the production of all written pieces
• Adhere to tight deadlines and work on multiple pieces simultaneously
