ROLE: Copywriter / Editor (hotel, travel, restaurant exp)
DURATION: 11 month contract
RATE: £25.50 per hour (equivalent annual salary approx £53k)
We are looking for five talented Copywriter / Editors to join our client, located in Central London.
These roles offer suitable candidates a fantastic opportunity to join an iconic global brand. They are offered as full-time, on-site 11 month freelance contracts, paying £25.50 per hour (equivalent annual salary approx £53k).

These roles would be a suitable match for candidates that have online Copywriting / Editing / Quality Control experience – ideally including hotel, travel or restaurants.

We are looking for candidates able to vet objective descriptions (hotel / travel / restaurants), checking for accuracy and consistency in style, structure, and content, and liaising effectively with freelance writers and other members of the in-house team.

- Ensuring that each description identifies what makes the hotel / travel / restaurant unique and covers primary reasons to book, plus key benefits, to empower users to choose and book
- Ensuring that each description is written in the clear, conversational, and company tone of voice that users trust, and is consistent with requirements set out in the editorial guidelines
- Spot-checking content for accuracy and having a sense for when facts need to be double-checked
- Liaising efficiently and tactfully with freelance writers, providing timely and actionable feedback, alerting your manager of key issues (such as late delivery and/or quality drop-off), and communicating when necessary with other members of the team
- Making suggestions for improved workflows, documentation, and communication as your knowledge of the project develops

- Ruthless editor, able to identify and prioritize key information and exclude everything else
- Ability to follow very structured editorial guidelines and style
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to develop strong relationships with freelance writers, and to deliver timely and actionable feedback to avoid quality drop-off
- Good project management skills and ability to recognize project risks, such as consistently late delivery of content
- Excellent time management skills, able to deliver quality content at a steady pace, and to sniff out issues and spot-check content for inaccuracies without checking every fact
- Technically savvy, with experience working in content management systems and spreadsheets
- Flexible approach in adapting to new requirements, both editorial and technical, as the project develops
- Proactive approach, ready to make suggestions for project enhancements, such as improved documentation, workflows, and communication
- Team player, working collaboratively with other in-house members of the team

- 5+ years editorial experience
- Knowledge of hotel / travel / restaurant sector preferred
- Broad destination knowledge preferred
- Experience working on content for hotel brands/online travel agencies preferred
- Proven delivery of quality content in a fast-paced environment
